Originally from Mexico this variety has hairy leaves and black seeds unlike other chilli's. It is also known as Rocoto in Peru, Manzano in Mexico and the Locoto in Bolivia.

Has a nice juicy pods, great for salsas, stuffing, pickling and any sauce. 
 
Pod
This variety produces 4 x 4cm pods, starting green maturing to a bright red and has black seeds.
